This is a scam

This app is great, especially in my situation. I dont have a phone, but I have an iPod. However, I have Skype credit so that I can make a call when I need to, except I cant do it without Internet. Thats where Skype wifi comes in. I can connect to the hotspot and call on Skype if theres an emergency

The problem i found with the service was, there was none. While on vacation in California, no wifi service or carrier was ever available for me to choose from. Also, I spoke with Skype support and was informed that this is a Third Party app. Don’t that beat all? They are very deceiving. When I tried to have conversation with them on Twitter, they completely blew me off. I believe it’s because they know they have a horrible product. But I did one ever better, I got connected using Xfinity Wifi and was very satisfied.

You have to be connected to wifi in order to login. The only reason I want to use Skype WIFI is because I cant connect to locked WIFIs. This should be considered as a scam for money by Microsoft.

I have yet to find any use for this app. In your home turf, your mobile service provider gives you access to the internet. Elsewhere, there are better and cheaper options. Does not deserve the even one star.

I tried this service during my trip to TN, our stop over in NC airport has a free wifi, I opened this wifi service and gave me an impression that I can connect to the same service with a per minute fee, why should I pay if I can have it free?! Then we landed in TN and I tried to connect skype wifi, I got this error message that I need to connect my skype first before I can use this so called "skype wifi" DUHH!

every time I open it tells me I am already on line when I am not tryed to fix went to app support but no way to contact any one now I will just delete

Not sure if this is from these guys or the other Skype so I downloaded... Downloaded and could never log on. Changed my password and still could not log on. At that point started feeling like I might have downloaded some phishing software and was right--started getting spam texts the next morning. AVOID!!!

I having trouble using this app. Ive been using this app for some years now and its been good, but now I cannot make calls over seas to my family and friends....HELP....

Since I went to IOS 8 my Skype has not been working properly so I downloaded this thinking it might be a fix. NOT It gave me the message that I was already on line and I cant figure out why I should need it when Ive been with Skype making free VIDEO calls and "skype out" calls internationally. What is this? I deleted it right away but hope they havent stored my email and password now.

I havent really used the t but it takes great since the first time I installed it now I talk with friends everywhere so its a. Really good app

In the description is says over 2 million wifi hotspots and on the app it says over 1 million?

Both skype apps ask me to log in and refuse to accept my username password. I reset until they locked me out entirely. When signing up for skype I chose "log in using facebook". Huge mistake apparently. I can log in online by clicking that log in using fb icon. Even being locked out of manual entry. All other ways I am locked out. The apps dont even have the log in with facebook option. Totally ridiculous. Trying to get any human support to fix it has consumed the last 8 hours of my life. Zero understanding of the problem, they just want to send me password resets. Amazing that this is the go to app, and as old as it is it has this many totally basic fails. Microsoft seldom misses an opportunity to botch whatever it touches.

So... People get frustrated with the new junk skype for iphone app and then they try this one thinking it would work, but even after reading the description I am still not able to understand what this app do? Why do I need to open this app to Connect to a wifi network that I am already connected?

I call my sister in the Philippines every now and then. Skype minutes are better and way cheaper than using calling cards for international calls. I can hear her voice loud and very clear. Im so glad I found you. Thank you Skype!!! Im a fan!!!

Installed the app, watched the install timer go around the circle, it appeared to have finished installing and the OPEN button appeared, but when I click on it, NOTHING HAPPENS. The app does not show up on my desktop anywhere, but found it on my Settings-Usage list, deleted it, and started over: installed, click on open, NOTHING HAPPENS, find it in my setting-usage list and delete. Rinse and repeat. I am suspicious of all positive reviews here; theyre probably fake. Meanwhile I see others having same problems I had. Note I have never, ever, had a problem with any app Ive installed until now. WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS APP SUPPOSED TO DO AND HOW DOES ONE GET IT TO DO IT?!?!? Its total crap

I think skype is an amazing app the only problem I have is it kicks me out of a call or makes the calls lag or it also kicks out me of the application but if you solved these problems I would give it 5 stars
